Our step-by-step buying process
We want to be open and honest about how we do business with our customers. Below is our step-by-step process to help answer any questions you may have. Visit our FAQ page for more information. Our team is with you every step of the process.
Step 1: Ready?
You decide that you're ready for an Off Grid Trailer®
Step 2: Finance
We offer financing through third-party lenders. Once the application has been processed, the customer should hear from the financing partner directly. If paying personally, instructions will be sent with the invoice on methods of payment. The customer is responsible at time of order agreement to ensure payment is arranged.
Step 3: Customize Order
You order your trailer via our Build Your Trailer tool online and select the options you would like.
Step 4: Build Sheet
The Build Sheet is created internally by the Client Service Specialist at OGT®.
Order Sheet is then Signed by you, including in/out of production date, delivery ESTIMATE, and location. Upon signing; OGT® will send you an invoice for a $1,000 non-refundable Confirmation Fee. The $1,000 Non-Refundable Confirmation Fee is applicable to custom-built trailers, pre-built inventory & demo units.
Step 5: Production
OGT® updates order, invoicing, assigns VIN, and prepares tilting documentation (Bill Of Sale, NVIS, MCO). OGT® completes preliminary delivery paperwork. The financier, if applicable, is notified of the order.
Step 6: Pre-Delivery
Custom Build
4 weeks before the estimated completion date, OGT® will send you the final invoice for the remainder of the payment. Final payment must be received 2 weeks before the completion date. Once paid, title documents are completed and sent to you. Financing, if applicable, completes payments to OGT® on completion.
Inventory/Demo Sale
Upon signing finalized build sheet both deposit and final invoices will be sent. Title documents will be completed and couriered to you once final payment is received by OGT®.
Step 7: Delivery
Delivery of trailer will take place within 2 weeks of final completion of new builds. You will be notified by OGT® when your trailer is completed and ready to ship. For inventory and demo trailers, delivery will occur 2 weeks after the final payment has been received.
*Customer pickups require customers to bring a plate or travel permit for the trailer.
Step 8: Trailer Registration
Take all of your OGT® Provided Paperwork to your local registration office to register your trailer. For US Customers please ensure you have received your 7501 form prior to attempting to register your trailer.
